Hailing from the city of Wind, "I'm so CHI that you thought I was bashful." Although a trained dancer in jazz & modern, I'm one of many Funkers being funkified for the first time and lovin it! Outside of long walks on the beach and private poetery readings, I'm a fan of Funk, Funkers, things that are funky, oh and did I say Funk? When I'm not dancing or partying it up w/ SF, I can be found... doing a little bit of this...but not too much of that...actually I haven't tried that yet, but I hear it's wild... :-)

Coming straight from South Orange, NJ, this junior double-majoring in English & Cognitive Neuroscience has been undergoing her funkformation since first semester freshman year. Her constantly flowing repertoire of hip hop,modern, ballet, jazz, etc. will keep you mesmerized, wondering what she'll pull out next. Her elegant style and mannerisms off the dance floor emanate the aura of a born debutant. This mix of décor, trained and raw talent will leave you saying: LV's a lady in the street, but she's FIERCE on the stage!

Jerome is now a senior Funker and although he almost dipped out on us to play sprint football, we managed to keep him playing for us. When he's not pondering economics, national debt, and what the hell is going on with those interest rates, or trying to understand why the color purple smells so good, he's supplying blink-and-you-might-miss-a-move hip hop. YAY ARREEAA...STAND UP! Misha always has about 50 song suggestions each semester, all originating from his beloved home, The Bay, California (as can be referenced by his collection of t-shirts). In addition to going dumb, getting hype, and strolling into rehearsal on his own time, Misha can be found lounging in the parentals' bed & breakfast in Hawaii, at any Chinese food truck within a half-mile radius, or running to the Engineering building, late as usual. Gotta love'em.

Only to be seen in passing, her pledge binder clasped tight, Christina is our very own business manager. This New Jersey native helps us out in our times of (desperate) need and always comes through for us.. We love her and don't know what we would do without her. As Funk seeps into her she can be found at parties bustin' a move or two, give it another year and we'll have her trying out!

Hey everyone!! This is Fe and I came to Funk as the resident Army brat but, despite my upbringing, I bring the attitude and Southern charm of a true Georgia girl. I am currently a junior at Penn in the School of Nursing Science. I have loved Funk since the first saw them and have been bringing a little sass to the stage for over two years now. Best known for breaking futons and showing some skin on stage, I am a hip hop chick with pinch of sexy, funky jazz tossed in. So if you ever want a dance partner… I hope you can keep up. ;-)

Tannis joins Funk all the way from sunny Los Angeles, where she has been dancing since age 14. Despite her modern dance background, she has thoroughly embraced the process of being "funkified" and has grown to love the funk family. When not on stage, this orange-shirt-pigtails-wearing funker can be found spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and watching Grey's Anatomy.

yo yo. This is Gbenga, G-Unit, G-spot, Bang Bang, or Gang Banga depending on the mood. Coming straight from Lagos, Nigeria. Born in "Naija" and moved to Jersey when I was 7. Did the Jersey suburb thang (much respect to mini-malls and Wawas) and then went to Harvard for undergrad. Currently a medstudent here at Penn. I love me some hip-hop, poppin', lockin, and breakin. I'm also resident Funk doctor, big brother, dad, and freaky dance partner. holla.

Alo! My name is Leonela Vaccaro Padrón, from San Juan, PR. I am currently a junior of the College, majoring in International Relations and minoring in French. Hailing from the beautiful island of O'ahu, Anh is proud to continue the Hawaiian lineage in Funk. Never having the opportunity to dance in high school, she is sooo grateful to Funk for letting her finally immerse herself in her passion. Learning from the best, she's figured out how to take full advantage of her long, dark hair as she taps into her sassy and, at times, more sensual side…Hitting the hip-hop hard and dabbling in the jazz funk, she's never felt more right. She can think of no higher bliss than when she's kicking it with her Funk family—whether it's on the dance floor, in someone's living room, or even in a dark kitchen in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Leah aka Lee Lee Mac Mac hailing from Toronto, Ontario and Miramar, Florida! She has been leading the glamorous Funk lifestyle since her first semester freshman year. As a Wharton student concentrating in Marketing, Leah sells herself as a funky jazz girl and is currently working on her hip hop strategy. She loves Funk. It's her life.

Born and raised in the burbs of DC, Stephen has slowly but surely evolved from the pirouetting musical theater boy in jazz pants to the pop-and-lock lovin' booty-shakin' funker he is today. An econ major, Hispanic studies minor, pre-med student, Stephen clearly has no idea what he'd like his future to hold but likes keeping his options open. He is super exciting for the upcoming semester and cannot wait to perform again!

Hello! I'm Elena from the California Bay Area (yay areaaa), specifically Redwood City, where dancers could learn a thing or two from Funk. I grew up dancing around my room for hours on end and decided to put my head-banging, booty-shaking, body-thrashing skills to the test when I took my first real dance class in ninth grade… and I haven't been able to stay still since.

Adie joins us from Berkeley, California or as hip hop culture now defines it, the Yay Area. Only a freshman, she is the youngest member of Funk but she’s already felt the connectedness of the Funk Family. Although originally trained in jazz and tap, she has expanded her repertoire to include hip hop and jazz funk, all with a little taste of the Bay Area style.

"Hello Nurse!" Coming to us on special delivery from Rutgers University, this nursing student has cured us all of our need for a little extra poppin' & lockin'. He's gotten all us trying our hand at windmills and sweep drops as this cool kid has trained with some of the biggest names in breakdancing and funk. Don't be fooled by his calm composure, when Jon gets on stage he's a charmer. Who needs to major in anesthesiology when you've got moves like that?

Funk seems to have a thing for island girls...This lovely lady has come all the way from Puerto Rico and has taken Penn by storm. Penny Loafer, Sorority sister, and most importantly, Funker! It's all so easy when you're a freshman...not! Yet Nicole manages to do it all without missing a beat. Hair in her face, funk in her eyes, songs on her lips, it's all in a days work!
